Of Eve and White Bird

escaping eden

where misogyny’s apple

grows from pointed tongues

angel of mercy

flying a needle sky

clouded with corpses

 devil’s handmaiden

butterfly pressed beneath glass

caught by Eden’s net

  1. I love how each stanza stands alone in poetic strength but also pulls together all the images perfectly. Always so glad to read your poetry my friend!

  4. Eden seems an uncomfortable sort of place if you're the female, doesn't it? Such wonderful description here, Susie. That middle stanza is just amazing.
